Disability Media Inc. (DMI) seeks to inform persons with disabilities and the able bodied community about the opportunities that are available to disabled persons. We also strive to tell the story of men and women with disabilities, as they go about the business of making meaningful productive lives for themselves. We provide scholarships, offer information and referral services, and encourage the initiative of persons who want to help persons with disabilities and their families. We publish print materials and make them available to individuals and to the public libraries in the States, where we are most active. We operate this web site as another way to make our services accessible to our readers and consumers.
Tens of thousands read our materials each year, and we provide one on one information and referral services to many hundreds of persons annually. We do not receive government funding, nor do we receive funding from private charities, or foundations. We depend on the generosity of individual donors to carry out our work.
